Skin Rejuvenation consists of the removal of uneven colourations primarily on face, décolletage and hands. These areas usually show the first signs of aging and sun damage.

Targeting unsightly capillaries and other red marks, we can improve variations in pigmentation and also reduce wrinkles, scars, acne and improve stretch marks.

Texture of the skin is also dramatically improved.

Norseld Y-lite State of the Art Technology

A copper bromide laser, the yellow light emitted by the Y-Lite can pass through the skin and is strongly absorbed by the targeted melanin and haemoglobin in the lesions that we are treating. This means that there is minimal epidermal damage whilst achieving optimal penetration into the blemishes requiring treatment.

Where IPL/VPL units usually used in skin rejuvenation use large hand pieces that cover a larger area of skin tissue, the Y-lite light emission is only 600 microns in diameter and therefore we target only the blemish of concern and minimize the risk of damage to surrounding skin. Another advantage of the Y-lite is that sessions can be reduced from the normal 4 to 6 with regular IPL units down to 2 or 3, saving both time and money.

The yellow light also allows for optimal transmission into the sebaceous glands and therefore is highly effective for the removal of acne bacteria and reducing the signs of rosacea.

The Y-lite is highly effective for the reduction of variations in pigmentation, spider veins or blushed cheeks, scars, acne, stretch marks, skin tags, fine lines and wrinkles.

Many vascular blemishes can be diminished in a single session with immediate results, however a minimum of 2 sessions are recommended to ensure greater results.

Acne

Active acne and acne scarring are best treated with a glycolic peel followed by 4 sessions over a 4 week period, Acne scarring is treated in the same manner but with one month between treatments. Laser treatment is preceded by a glycolic peel to prepare the skin.
